HERA UV Mist Cushion Ultra Moisture

I’m completely in love with a new base product the Hera UV Mist Cushion. It’s changed my skincare routine. I no longer feel like I need to cake my face with foundation, layers of concealer and powder to make it stay. This cushion is perfect and gives both coverage and glowiness to my skin.
The applicator is easy and convenient and I do bring the cushion with me in my bag every single day since about two months back.
I took accurate and it gave me a rash around my mouth that occasionally flares up (also my lips still get very dry, I finished my accutane treatment about two months ago) still every few days and it covers that up as well.
I took a before picture to show you the massive change I get. It covers pores pretty decently and I don’t feel like I need a primer wearing this cushion foundation.
It’s definitely the best cushion foundation I’ve tried so far and I’ve tried so many of them. I like it more than the YSL Ink Cushion and the IOPE Cushion. Even my French friend was telling me back in June when I met her in Seoul how much she enjoyed using it.

It doesn’t feel heavy on the skin, doesn’t feel cakey when adding some concealer on top (if needed), it covers under-eye circles decently and also redness really well.
Not as important but also the packaging is beautiful~
I will definitely buy this again!
I also vlogged a day wearing this product;

The packaging is so stunning

August BEAUTY Favourites 2016

So another month has passed and I’m excited to show you my beauty favourites in this little quick video.

I hope you enjoy it. I’m really trying to get more into YouTube and filming more of my life to share with you.

I hope you all are having a lovely day!

Etude House “Hello Pumpqueen” eyeshadow palette

I just couldn’t resist buying this limited edition (I assume) eyeshadow palette from Etude House. I’ve been wanting to get some more orange apricot toned eye shadows and this is a perfect palette for that. The palette is very small, it fits in my hand, which was a bit of a let-down to be honest. But the palette is very cute and I’m so excited about the new make up looks I can create with this new palette!

I love the name “Hello Pumpqueen”, it’s so cute! I’m sad I didn’t get it before Halloween but I’m sure I’ll get a lot of usage of this palette for fall. It even has a gel eyeliner in dark brown which can be smudged out to get a very cute smokey eye.

MISSHA Signature Volume Brightening Concealer

image

I bought this MISSHA Signature Volume Brightening Concealer in shade #21 as an impulse buy on my way to school when I realised I forgot my concealer on a “tired looking face”-day and forgot my other concealers at home. I’m totally addicted to buying concealers since I’m always on the hunt to find the perfect concealer. This concealer is really good for under-eye circles and doesn’t really crease under the eyes. However for concealing blemishes it doesn’t work as well as the Holika Holika Naked Face Cover Up Concealer which has SPF30 and PA+++. Mine is in the shade #01.

Sheet mask madness

Today I went to Aritaum and right now they had an offer on the sheet masks. I paid 7500 korean won for ten masks, which is no cheap. I asked the girl working which mask works best on sensitive skin and she told me to get the Mamonde Flower Essential Mask Orange Blossom Vita Nutrition. I trusted the girls choice because she took this type up, holding onto it when also introducing some of the other Mamonde sheet masks. It has a slight smell of oranges, it’s super nice.

Mamonde Flower Essential Mask Rose Moisturizing sheet mask

Time for another sheet mask. This was given to me for free last time I was in Aritaum. This is the Mamonde Flower Essential Mask Rose Moisturizing. It smells delicious like rose and the mask has a lot of product on it so it really feels moisturizing on the skin. The mask is supposed to be on for 10-20 minutes to give the best result.

Yesterday I had a great day out

I was out with many of my closest friends in Korea yesterday, and I felt so good about my make up, so here’s some pictures~

My hair looked very much like Kardashian sisters hair style when they curl it 🙂

Sheet mask time – Mamode Flower Essential Mask

20140420-230924.jpg

This evening I’m trying out the Mamonde Flower Essential Mask Pomegrante Anti Aging.
You’re supposed to leave the mask on for 10-20 minutes. I previously had good experiences using Mamonde products but I didn’t try this anti Aging sheet mask before. I’m aware I’m only 24 years old and usually people say you should start using anti Aging products after you turn 25 years or are older, but I’ve recently read many articles saying that to prevent aging signs on the skin it’s good to start earlier. And I have some worry lines on my forehead and wrinkles under my eyes so I thought why not try. Have a great day everyone!
I recommend sheet masks to anyone trying out Asian skin care. Most Koreans swear by the magic of using a sheet mask or more per week, and I noticed myself that it makes my skin look less dull, and I never got any side effects using sheet masks. Since my skin type is mixed/sensitive this really helps dehydrate the skin any day. Also it’s good for someone the day after drinking or the day before a date, it just gives your skin that extra bit of glow that makes anyone happy.

Majolica Majorca “Lash Expander Edge Meister” and “Skin Lingerie Pore Cover” Review

image

Two days ago I did some shopping at Olive Young that was having a huge sale. I got stuck on these two Majolica Majorca : the “Skin Lingerie Pore Cover” and the “Lash Expander Edge Meister”.

image

The “Skin Lingerie Pore Cover” looks like on the picture above. The product gives the skin better complexion and a lot of glow.

image

The brush of the “Lash Expander Edge Meister” is particularly peculiar and reminds me of Maybelline’s “The Falsies” mascara. The mascara has a paddle like slightly bent brush and it really elongates my eyelashes. You can see in the picture below how it looks when applied onto the eyelashes.

Etude House Baby Choux Base #01 Mint Choux

IMG_0310

I love base and primer products. I’ve realized during the last 12 months that primers and base products are my best friend. And that I can’t live without these products. This base is green and works against redness in your skin and covering up blemishes, and it does the job.

One of my friends told me that when it comes to base make-up it’s worth it to spend the extra money and get a more expensive one. This one was 11000 KRW, so it was really cheap. I’ve always been pleased with Etude House base creams that are in the green shade, but I do agree with my friend – if you want a really good base product, that will make your skin look flawless it is worth it to spend the extra money.

Pros with the Etude House Baby Choux Base:
* Medium to heavy coverage, depending on usage-amount
* Good with covering redness in skin
* This product is very affordable
* Helps against sebum/skin oily-ness
* This green shade is perfect on pale skin
* Doesn’t make you look too pale
* Does help with making your skin look more flawless

Cons with the Etude House Baby Choux Base:
* Not that good with covering red spots/blemishes
* Feels a bit dry on the skin, but doesn’t really dry out skin

This is what the product looks like when you apply it on your hand

Review of Tony Moly’s Tomatox Magic White Massage Pack

IMG_0301

This massage pack has been raved about all over the internet by many many girls and beauty bloggers/vloggers so I thought I should give it a try.

It mostly known for its whitening effects, but I wanted to try it for its face clearing detoxing effects. The pack is supposed to be massaged into the skin and then left on for about 10 minutes and lastly washed off with warm water.

Note/Disclaimer:
I included several pictures of the product. Mine was bought in a Tony Moly store in Hongdae, Seoul, South Korea so there’s no doubt that it’s the REAL/AUTHENTIC product. I’ve heard previously that a lot of people who bought the product online got fake products, that don’t look the same. Therefore, please use these pictures below as reference to know that you got the real Tomatox Magic White Massage Pack since there’s so many scams that can happened to you when you’re shopping online. The pictures are all taken with my Canon EOS 650D DSLR, so just click the picture to get the full sized photos.

Pros with the Tomatox Magic White Massage Pack:
* It does show whitening effects straight away
* My skin feels softer and looks clearer after
* It does improve my skin quality and defy a lot of the redness I usually have in my skin on a day-to-day basis
* The product formula doesn’t tense the skin up or irritate the skin
* The product does last a long time, so you get a lot of product for your money
* I would definitely buy this product again or recommend it to a friend
* Price, it’s pretty cheap, only 9800 KRW

Cons with the Tomatox Magic White Massage Pack:
* The whitening effect only stays a few hours, whereas the redness soothing effect stays longer on the skin
* Since it detoxes skin it can break you out, but if your skin is dirty, the dirt sometimes needs to come out, and not fry away into the skin, and this way is probably a lot healthier for your skin than salicylic acid and other acne treatment ingredients.

Here’s some more pictures of the product:

Finally, since my skin already is so pale, this is not a product that I will buy again.

As soon as I get enough money to buy these, I’m going straight to the Yves Saint Laurent counter in the Hyundai department store closest to my house. I’m totally obsessed with Jeon Ji Hyun and this drama. She’s so stunning. And these lip products are flawless on her, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed that they’ll fit me as well. Right now the lipstick is selling out all over Seoul I’ve heard. I only used one lipstick from YSL before so I’m very excited to try this one.

What lip products Jeon Ji Hyun wears  playing the role of fierce actress Cheong Song Yi in the Korean drama “My Love From Another Star”:

Note: Currently Aritaum (korean make-up store) and IOPE ( make-up brand) are making a lot of commercials with Jeon Ji Hyun, about My Love From Another Star styled make-up. They’re selling their products like crazy, I checked the store in local Hongdae and they’re all out of the lipsticks. I’ll update whenever I get my hands on one of these.

Extra fun!

Here’s a few of the products that Jeon Ji Hyun/Cheon Song Yi uses that I’ve bought:

Merry Xmas, make-up secrets and new things

1489068_10151787864756078_2124077169_o

Hi everyone, sorry I kinda faded away from this blog for a while.

Right now I go to Korea University. My major is International Studies. I’m right now waiting for my final grades for this semester. I’m right now on winter holidays until March. Also I’ve dyed my hair a darker shade of brown, I got too bored with the blonde hair colour.
I’m right now living with two italian friends, Anna and Laura, and Anna’s dog (chihuahua) Bella. They’re so cool and so much fun. They have a blog about Korea in italian, check it out if you speak italian: persiincorea.com

Make-up products I’m currently loving:
* Laura Mercier Foundation Primer
* Everything from Benefit (especially my Dandelion blush, its just the perfect colour)
* The Face Shop’s “My Lips Taste Like Cherry” Lipstain (the dark pink and the orange:y colour are both perfection, got the tip on the dark pink shaded one from my korean friend Sky, it looks amazing on everyone)
* Make Up Forever’s Concealer palette (as it saves my life and my face all the time)
* Missha’s Foundation Stick (my shade is 21, the lightest one, also a tip from a korean friend, Min Jung, if you blend it with BB cream your face looks so flawless, then just top off with, preferrably loose, powder afterwards)
* Peri Peri lipbalm in Sweet Peach

I’ve also realised that being away from my cat Bernard this long (I haven’t seen him in a year now) makes me really want to buy a cat here. And if I’m gonna buy a cat, I really want to buy a Bengal Cat. They look so cool and they’re so big and cute. Like small tiny tigers. I’d love that^^

Innisfree It’s Real Soya Milk Sheet Mask

Hey guys!
This evening I decided to try out the Innisfree “It’s Real Soya Mask” sheet mask. It’s a really cool mask, really drenched with moisture from the beginning so hopes really stood high with me for this mask. The mask has extra “patches” for the eyes, which I think is awesome since that really prevents dark circles under your eyes, and therefore it fits perfectly to wear right before going to bed, then you wake up refreshed and without dark circles/bags under your eyes. The mask smells really fresh and only has a slight scent of perfume, it’s a really soothing smell.
It brightens your skin tone, and makes your skin silky and soft. It gives healthy and powerful skin with herb complex water. This sheet mask replenishes under the eyes once more according to descriptions of the sheet mask. Due to it’s added layers it promotes that more of the essence of the mask absorbes to the skin.

What arrived in my mailbox

I’m very excited to try out these two products in the pictures above; “Etude House Juicy Cocktail Gradation Nails – Kiss Of Fire” and “Etude House Sleeping Pack – Pore & Oil Control”. I already have the gradation nail polish in another colour (“Screwdriver”) and I was really impressed with the results of that, so it’ll be fun to try out the pink more girlish gradation nail polish set.

Also I’ve tried Etude House’s Sleeping Pack previously but only the “Bright & Soft” and the product lasted me over 6 months. It really lasts forever, and I’m not someone who just uses very small amounts of skincare products. The “Bright & Soft” Sleeping Pack from Etude House really impressed me with its results and I quickly got addicted to the product. It’s the first sleeping pack I ever used, and after that I’ve also tried Holika Holika’s “Honey Sleeping Pack – Blueberry” which I also adored, especially for it’s supercute glass container shaped like a small cute beehive. I felt a bit like Winnie The Pooh when using the product, it’s super cute.
This sleeping mask from Etude House says to be pore minimizing and makes the skin smoother and less oily, so I’m very excited to see the results.
